Ministry of Religious Affairs establishes cell to monitor social media

The Ministry for Religious Affairs has established a cell to monitor social media content, reported Dunya News. Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf expressed that the freedom of speech has been misused and that blasphemous content is being spread purposely on social media. He revealed that a 30 member team has been established to eliminate blasphemous content over social media. Sardar Yousaf let it be known that he has recommended that right should be given PTA in regards to blocking website that contains blasphemous content. He cleared out that 565 links that contained blasphemous content has already been blocked.

Interior minister bars NADRA from taking buildings on rent

- Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has imposed a ban on NADRA for renting new property and building for offices. He let it be known that the action could lead to corruption and misappropriation and hence needed to be stopped. Supreme Court orders to denotify four NAB DGs

ISLAMABAD – Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has ordered to denotify as many as four director generals of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) whose appointments could not be justified by their qualifications. The court has declared hiring of DG Lahore Bhurhan Ali, DG Quetta Tariq Mehmood, DG Karachi Shab­bir Ahmed and DG Awareness and Prevention Aliya Rashid as illegal and instructed to sack them. PTI submits resolution in Punjab assembly for Saad Rafique’s resignation

LAHORE – Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday submitted a resolution in Punjab assembly for the removal of Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique from his post. The resolution submitted by PTI MPA Malik Taimoor Masood says that safe travelling by train has become a dream in the country as 188 accidents have been recorded in last three years.
