The venue was decorated with party’s flags and banners to celebrate their golden jubilee. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made his way to the venue ahead of the jalsa while Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari also reached Islamabad to attend the golden jubilee of the party, reported Dunya News.
Prominent PPP leaders, including opposition leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah, Senator Sherry Rehman and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah were also present at the jalsa.
Folk singers Arif Lohar, Tufail Sanjrani and Faqir Shaukat Ali entertained the workers during the public rally.
Both the chairman and co-chairman delivered fiery speeches at the jalsa attended by thousands of workers in a show of strength at the federal capital.
